March 10 - articulate はっきり言う
Usually when we describe someone as articulate
it means that we think that they are able to
express their thoughts and ideas very easily and well.
Some other words with similar meaning are: express,
enunciate, say, speak, state.
Some examples:
The president is under fire for failing to articulate
his vision in foreign affairs.
The child couldn’t articulate what he had witnessed.

通常、誰かを”articulate(=はっきり言う)”だと表現した場合、
自分の考えや思いを上手にスラスラと伝えることが
出来る人のことです。同じような意味の単語には、
“express (=表現する)”、”enunciate (=明確に述べる)”、
“say (=言う)”、”speak (=話す)”、”state (=述べる)”
などがあります。
例：
“The president is under fire for failing to
articulate his vision in foreign affairs.”
大統領は、外交問題に関するビジョンを
はっきりと言わなかったことで非難を受けている
The child couldn’t articulate what he had witnessed.
その子供は自分が目撃したことを
はっきりと言うことができなかった。
